Axion Dynamix AI Browser Planned
There is nothing to install yet. This page records the architecture we are committing to, so that what ships can be checked against what was promised.
Architecture
- Engine. Chromium, embedded through the Chromium Embedded Framework (BSD licence). We are not rewriting a browser engine; a modern engine is tens of millions of lines and the honest path is to embed it and build the mind around it. A Rust-native engine is tracked as a future option.
- Shell. Rust and Zig: window and tab management, the agent sidebar, permissions, update channel.
- Mind. The AI OS: page → accessibility tree → action plan via the capability engine; memory of sessions through the memory store; every action reviewable before it runs, with the same diff-style approval the IDE uses for edits.
- Permissions. Per-site, per-action grants (read, fill, click, download, pay) that are leased per task and revocable, with a visible audit log.
Benchmark
Fellou. The comparison table on the product page is built only from Fellou's public documentation and every Axion row is Planned or In build — none is marked shipped.
Status
Design stage. Next milestones: architecture document, embedded-engine feasibility spike on Apple silicon, then the shell. Register interest to be told when the first build exists.
